Kristin Larsen rejoined Arts & Business Council of Chicago in May 2017 after serving as its Director of Programs in 2001.
Ms. Larsen ran two Chicago not for profit theatre companies between 2002 and 2013. She has been a business representative with Actors’ Equity Association, the union that represents Actors and Stage Managers nationwide, the operations manager of Facets Multimedia, a premier film presenter and supplier of hard-to-find and independent films and a stage manager, company manager, and production manager in Chicago, regionally and off-Broadway for various theatres and dance companies.
Kristin served on the Board of Directors of the League of Chicago Theatres, an alliance of theaters which leverages its collective strength to promote, support and advocate for Chicago’s theatre industry. She also served for 10 years on the Board of Directors of Season of Concern, the Chicagoland theatre community’s fundraising effort in the fight against AIDS. Kristin currently serves on the Advisory Council of Pivot Arts Festival and she is also a volunteer with the Joseph Jefferson Committee’s (Chicago’s local Tony Awards), DePaul University’s Alumni Sharing Knowledge program and an active member of the Unitarian Church of Evanston.
Ms. Larsen has her BFA in production management from The Theatre School, DePaul University and a MA in facilitating organizational effectiveness in the arts from DePaul University’s School for New Learning.
