Ms. Danielle Iwata
Danielle joined Americans for the Arts in February 2018. Prior to that, she was the Development Coordinator and Board Liaison at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA. Before working at the Pillow, she interned at Lar Lubovitch Dance Company in New York, NY and the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs, NY.
She continues to dance, doodle, and dabble in photography, and strives to discuss/challenge/change the field to create a more equitable environment. She serves on the Dance/NYC Junior Committee, a group of emerging leaders dedicated to turning ideas for the field into actions. Danielle graduated with a B.A. in History from Colgate University. Her thesis focused on the role of dance in UK/USSR relations during the Cold War.
