Citlali Pizarro is a current junior at Swarthmore College. She is pursuing a course major in Theater and a special major that she created, titled Race and Gender in Education and Society. She has appeared in a number of plays and one musical with the Swarthmore College Department of Theater. Citlali is Editor-In-Chief of Swarthmore Voices, a student-run, online news and media publication dedicated to reflecting the perspectives of marginalized people and embodying the multiple truths of Swarthmore College. She also works as an associate at the College's Women's Resource Center. She believes strongly in the restorative and transformative power of the arts, particularly for communities of color.
In summer of 2018, Citlali was an intern with ABC/NY's Diversity in Arts Leadership internship program, working at Opening Act, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free theater education to high schools in New York City with low graduation rates and lack of arts programming.
