Ms. Vivian Phillips
Vivian Phillipsis a Seattle-based communications professional and longtime civic arts leader, manager and advocate. As a communications and marketing professional, Vivian recently served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Seattle Theatre Group, and previously as Director of Communications for Mayor Paul Schell. She has also served as adjunct professor in Seattle University’s MFA Arts Leadership program and is currently an advisor to the Arts Ecosystem Research Project based at SU. As an independent consultant and civic arts leader, Vivian has produced theater, executive produced and hosted arts programming for radio and television, and in 2017 completed her 3rdterm as Chair of the Seattle Arts Commission. She is co-founder of both The Hansberry Project and the Historic Central Area Arts and Cultural District. Vivian continues her service as a Seattle Arts Commissioner, and is a current member of the PSPR/KUOW board of directors, the University of Washington Foundation board, and LANGSTON.
