Kristie Swink Benson
Kristie Swink Benson, APR, is the Director of Communications at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. Benson leads all communications efforts for the museum including public relations, marketing, creative services, and web/new media. She is committed to elevating the museum's brand and aligning it with institutional priorities of growth, inclusivity, collaboration and connectivity.
As a communications executive, she has extensive experience in internal, external and crisis communications. Benson started her career more than a decade ago in local government and has since been recruited to bring her communications expertise to various industries including mental health, utilities, and art.
Benson is an Accredited Public Relations practitioner, a prestigious designation given by the Universal Accreditation Board. She also holds a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University (Washington, D.C.) and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Winston-Salem State University (Winston Salem, NC).
