
CW2 Jonathan L. Crane
Chief Warrant Officer Two Jonathan Crane is a research analyst for the U.S. Army Bands Program focused on how music effects people across all domains. His work seeks to quantify and articulate music’s effects on Soldiers and its ability to connect those Soldiers to the public they defend. He has published essays for 1775: The Journal of the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association and the Modern War Institute. Mr. Crane is current stationed at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. Previously, he served as Commander of the Military Intelligence Corps Band and Performer with the Signal Corps Band and 25th Infantry Division Band. In 2011, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. He holds degrees in Music Composition from The Hartt School and Bowling Green State University, also in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College.
