Meccah graduated from Wayne State University with an MFA in Theatre Management in May 2020. Her love for the arts, and her marketing background, motivated her to combine both fields to pursue a career in Arts Administration. Meccah has had the opportunity to intern at major organizations like the Fox Theatre, Sidewalk Detroit, and The Wharton Center located in Lansing, MI. Her experience at these organizations piqued her interest in event planning and management, and developed an overall appreciation for public art and performances. She advocates for diversity within the arts and culture field and hopes she can bring the arts to communities where it is inaccessible. Meccah believes the arts are for everyone and aspires to be a leader in achieving her objective.
Currently, Meccah is a participant in the Americans for the Arts 2020 Arts & Culture Leaders of Color Fellowship. She is utilizing her opportunity in the fellowship to learn and grow as she continues to establish her career in the arts field.
