
Jack King
Jack King is an intern on the Resilient Economies & Communities team with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and an undergraduate student at George Washington University with dual majors in Political Science and American Studies and expected May 2022 graduation date. In his work with NACo, King assists with support of the Creative Counties Placemaking Challenge cohort. In addition, King supports the National Association of Counties work regarding the economic mobility and the use of American Rescue Plan funds in the Appalachian region.
King previously served as a communications intern with the Office of the Mayor of the City of Knoxville, Tennessee, where he authored blog posts targeted to constituent interests, including city beautification projects and Black history. He has interned with two members of Congress—Representatives Steve Cohen of Tennessee and Deb Haaland of New Mexico (now Secretary of the Department of the Interior).
