
Deborah Briggs
Deborah Briggs created the arts and culture program at The Betsy Hotel, which in 2017 garnered an award from Americans for the Arts as one of the leading corporate arts and culture programs in America. In her long career she has specialized in strategic fundraising, programs, organizational development and branding. Working in both the profit and non profit sector, she’s garnered millions of dollars and global brand share for myriad clients in the fields of education, the arts, and social service. Deb holds a Doctorate in Arts Education, and Masters in Music Education from Columbia University, a Master of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, a Bachelors Degree in Performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a certificate in Public Policy from the Institute for Educational Leadership in Washington, DC. She’s the daughter of poet Hyam Plutzik (Hyamplutzikpoetry.com).
