William Murray has more than a decade of fundraising experience and expertise in areas including major gifts, grant-seeking, and program development.  Over the course of his career, he has designed successful data-collection and analytics strategies for a wide range of different projects, and he has witnessed the power of robust data to transform organizations.

In his current role, Mr. Murray oversees development and communications for ArtsMemphis, one of the nation's largest united arts funds.  He has previously served as Director of Development for Opera Memphis and as Associate Director of Institutional Giving for The New School in lower Manhattan, among other positions.  Mr. Murray holds a BA in Literature from Skidmore College and an MA in Liberal Studies from The New School for Social Research.  He is a frequent contributor to the literary magazine, Salmagundi.
