Las Piñatas

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Title: Las Piñatas
Photo Credit: Philip Rogers Photography
Lead Artist(s):

Description:

During National Hispanic Heritage month, visitors discovered a herd of massive piñata burros grazing in a field in east Austin. As a response to the piñata store, Jumpolin, that was razed to the ground, the artist created this work to express that the city’s growth must respect its past as much as it anticipates its own future. Temporary exhibition: October 10 — November 22, 2015
