Ms. Kristin Eggerling
Kristin Eggerling works as a marketing/promotions specialist at the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, freelance writer, and Communications and Digital Media Coordinator for C&M Ford. She is a published author of Breath of Wilderness: The Life of Sigurd Olson, a children’s book about wilderness advocate and writer Sigurd Olson. Kristin serves on the Minnesota Citizens for the Arts, Northwest Minnesota Foundation, Conservation Minnesota, the North Dakota Museum of Art Boards of Directors and as the Chair of her local library board. She is also involved in economic development activities in her small town with a focus on promoting arts and natural resources. Kristin has worked in the public health field, coordinated watershed education, taught sociology and as the administrator of the Environment and Agriculture Budget Committee at the Minnesota Senate. She has also served on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee of the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources and the Northwest Regional Sustainable Development Partnership Board and Statewide Coordinating Committee Chair. Kristin holds a B.A. in sociology from Augsburg College and an M.A. in sociology from the University of Manitoba. Kristin is passionate about the arts, preserving wild places, sustainability, travel, and politics. She lives with her husband and two sons in Hallock in the far northwest corner of Minnesota -- twenty miles from Canada -- and Minneapolis, and is originally from Iowa.
