Dr. Christina Lanzl
Christina Lanzl is the director of the Urban Culture Institute and recipient of a 2017 Businesswoman Award for Best Woman-Run Arts & Culture Initiative 2017 in the Northeastern United States. She is a seasoned creative placemaking and public art professional with more than 20 years of experience, working with public and private sector clients, cultural institutions, communities and leaders in the creative sector to improve the quality of life. She enjoys serving people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, administering over one hundred placemaking initiatives, public art and community art projects to date. Committed to design excellence, Christina believes in active public places, the arts in the community, research and education. She regularly presents and publishes on placemaking, the arts and culture. She received her M.A. in art history from Boston University and completed her Ph.D. with a concentration in public art at the University of Munich.
